Ussins

We are Alex and Tia Hall. We were married in May 2000 in the Mount Timpanogas Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (”Mormons”.)
Here are some random photos of us through the past five years, excepting a photo of Tia when she was younger. The ones of our wedding day identify themselves and the one at Bryce Canyon is our honeymoon (we went to Pine Valley in Utah). You’ll note two photos from my days of Dark Magicks while others are from our interplanetary and Martian travels. I think my funny face photos are from 2002. Also two of these show our final collaborative design on our wedding quilt, which Tia’s family very laboriously created. We love that quilt.

On March 17th or St. Patrick’s Day 2005, our first baby was born, a boy, who at this blog is called Mago Elf Liam. Mago is Gaelic for Great, and Liam is an Irish form of William, so he’s the Great Elf William (and he is great, and he is an elf). At this writing he’s 17 month’s old, smiley, friendly, WILD, knows many words and sounds and American Sign Language signs, and is forming small sentences. Many picture of him are in this blog’s pictures category.
Tia is a photographer finishing a Bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University, Provo Utah. I’m biased of course, but I love her work.
I work as a designer in video games, and I’m beginning school in art - I’m thinking traditional art, but also video games or film, and I have a strong but undeveloped knack for decorative art. I’m pursuing my true loves of acting, writing, and directing outside of school. I have three lines in a major film. In school I only plan to take film classes that interest me. I would never take a “creative writing” class - this book and this book - which I never would have been led to if I hadn’t read this new-agy titled (and sometimes so thinking) but BRILLIANT book - convinced me to that effect. I believe Tia is a writer and school made her hate it.. she’s an actress too and I learned from her this year that for her, photography is a shadow dream of acting. .. Erm.. “shadow dreams” are described in that last listed book.
On arriving at a decision to pursue both creative and practical dreams: here is one entry at least.
I’ve meandered in various independent techy/geeky studies that are meaningful in that I kind of enjoy them and they taught me I love other things more.
