Merle and Joan’s dresses
Something I’ve wanted to do for a long time and then I had to just get it done quick before my chance was gone. This is just to show off all the great dresses of my mother and grandmother before we disassemble and distribute the collection. Also (family and friends) if you see anything you want, send an email describing the item (by Oct. 6, when I will be showing the remaining dresses to an interested buyer). Just remember, most of these are very petite! And some of these dresses have already been taken.

It was getting dark fast outside and my off-camera flash was broken so I raised the ISO to 1600 and raised the exposure in photoshop so we could see the image. Just imagine these in a CD cover and booklet and they’ll pass.

I’ll have to put larger files in here, so they don’t look pixelated. I plan to publish a book with these images, but I don’t see that happening soon, I’m just too busy!
If I could only get the caption feature to work with this blog, I could give some commentary about each image and tell what each child is signing, but I guess I’ll save it for my book

Spirits
This was an idea I came up with for my fine art photography class at BYU. The images convey the transition or journey of a spirit from premortal life to earth.

Ballroom
These were taken at the National championship competition (I’m not sure of the exact title) at the BYU marriot center. I shot and shot until my one battery ran out. It was a real holiday for a photojournalist.
